I have worked as an art director in both the advertising and publishing industry.
As an art director, one will typically oversee and manage the work of a particular job/project:

Determine how best to represent a concept visually

Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use

Develop the overall look or style of a publication or advertising campaign

Review and approve artwork, photography, and graphics developed by various creatives included in any particular project
(e.g. illustrators, photographers) -
communicate with clients to develop an artistic approach and style

Coordinate activities with other artistic or creative departments
-
Develop detailed budgets and timelines
-
Present designs to clients for approval
Book artwork direction
Over the past 5 years I have worked very closely with publishing teams to create a unique brands, artwork, and project manage for a variety of CAPS (curriculum required) educational books.
I have experience in working on a numerous covers and inside artwork projects at one time. I can plan:
